Writing in Upper-Division English Courses

Upper-Division Literature and Literary Studies Courses

So that students can be adequately prepared to do the kinds of writing required of them, English 101 and English 102 are prerequisites for many upper-division literature courses.

Students are asked to complete a number of different kinds of writing tasks in upper-level literature courses. Here are a few of the more common ones, with links to helpful information:
