Showing Students That Good Writing Matters,
and Not Just in English Class
 

Dr. Nancy Tuten of Columbia College talks about the value of working with professors in different disciplines to promote writing across the curriculum. Tuten, professor of English, also serves as the writing program director for the Tom & Anne Pearce Communication Center at Columbia College.

Dr. Tuten was interviewed by Voice of America on July 25 for their weekly program about speaking and writing American English, Wordmaster. Voice of America first went on the air in 1942, and is a multimedia international broadcasting service funded by the U.S. government through the Broadcasting Board of Governors. VOA broadcasts more than 1,000 hours of news, information, educational, and cultural programming every week to an estimated worldwide audience of more than 115 million people.
