(Business,
Economics & Accounting)
Established in 1990, the Business, Economics and Accounting (B.E.A.)
Club brings students together for social and educational functions. The
Club often invites business leaders from the Columbia area as speakers
during its monthly meetings. B.E.A. Club provides opportunities for students
to develop their leadership skills and establish contact with business
community leaders.
The B.E.A. Club welcomes all students interested in accounting, business, management and marketing to join us in an exploration of career and personal potential.
The purpose of the B.E.A. Club is to bring Business Administration majors, Management minors, Marketing minors and other Columbia College students interested in business together for educational and social benefits. Activities of the club include programs designed to stimulate interest in accounting, business, and related professional fields.
Meetings are held twice a month on campus during lunch. The club presents speakers, workshops, or activities that enhance the classroom experience.
Professionals from the Columbia area are invited to share their knowledge and experience with the club. These professionals include alumnae of Columbia College, members of the Business Advisory Board and business leaders in the community. This distinguished group enlightens students with their knowledge and experience of the "real world." They provide the club with a strong network for internships and career planning.
