The Math Lab serves as a vital resource for Columbia College students. It provides a supportive learning environment for students who need mathematical assistance outside the classroom. The lab is located in Room 126 of the Barbara Bush Center for Science and Technology.
The Math Lab Director, Laurie Mozley, and student tutors are available to assist both Women's College and Evening College students for numerous hours during the week, including evening and some weekend hours. The Math Lab also provides access to computers, calculators and other resource materials for student use while in the lab. Most tutors are mathematics majors or minors.
A variety of assistance is offered through the Math Lab. Students may use the lab as a source for guidance with homework problems and class projects. However, the lab is chiefly used by students enrolled in Math 001, students who need remediation for Columbia College's mathematics proficiency requirement, and students who require remediation for the Praxis I exam.
