These scholarships are not limited in number. Every student who qualifies with the appropriate GPA will be awarded the scholarships for which they are eligible. State and federal aid as well as other scholarships may significantly increase one’s total award package.

For example, many South Carolina residents qualify for the $5,000 Life Scholarship (current funding levels). Also, out-of-state students may qualify for the Residential Scholarship, which is $1,000 awarded annually, and is renewable for up to four years.
Columbia College scholarships will be limited to no more than the difference between tuition, room and board, books and the total of all other aid (state, federal and outside scholarships). Scholarship amounts will be adjusted if total aid awarded exceeds the amount needed to cover tuition, room, board, and fees for residents or tuition and fees for commuters. 

Any student seeking Financial Aid (state and federal) in the form of loans and grants must complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Transfer Presidential
Any transfer student with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above will be awarded a Transfer Presidential Scholarship in the amount of $8,000 per year. The scholarship is renewable each year if the student meets the continuing eligibility criteria. Columbia College is the Grantor.
Transfer Scholarship
Any transfer student with a cumulative GPA of 3.0-3.49 will be awarded a Transfer Scholarship in the amount of $6,000.The scholarship is renewable each year if the student meets the continuing eligibility criteria.
Transfer Grants
Any transfer student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 to 2.99 will be awarded a Transfer Grant in the amount of $4000 per year. The grant is renewable each year if the student meets the continuing eligibility criteria. Columbia College is the Grantor.
Transfer Opportunity Grants
Any transfer student with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 to 2.49 will be awarded a Transfer Opportunity Grant in the amount of $2500 per year. The grant is renewable each year if the student meets the continuing eligibility criteria. Columbia College is the Grantor.
