Admission Notification and Acceptance

 

Early application to Columbia College is strongly encouraged. The Office of Admissions acts on each application as soon as all necessary credentials arrive and informs the students of the results as soon as possible.

The admission decision is based upon:

  • High school grade point average
  • Scholastic rank in class
  • SAT or ACT test scores
  • Personal information provided by the applicant

To accept an offer of admission, a Regular Decision student must submit a reservation deposit as early as possible $200 for resident students; $100 for commuting students.

The Regular Decision deposit is not refundable after May 1 for first semester applicants or after November 1 for second semester applicants. All deposits will be credited as payment on tuition and fees when the applicant registers.

Application Deadlines

Regular Decision
Deadline: February 15
Rolling, within 4-6 weeks after admissions file is completed, beginning October 1. All applications submitted after February 15 will be considered on a space-available basis.

Scholars Program Consideration
Deadline: January 15
Students who wish to be considered for Columbia College's Scholars Day Program must submit their freshman application by January 15.
