Dept. of Education to Present A Night of Storytelling With Rixon Lane
(COLUMBIA, SC) The Columbia College Department of Education will present "A Night of Storytelling with Rixon Lane" on Tuesday, November 16, 7-8 p.m., in the Concert Hall of Spears Music/Art Center.
Lane, a 12-year-old seventh grader at Hope Academy in Greenville, S.C., has been telling stories since he was three. On his 10th birthday in 2002, he won the National Championship for Youth Storytellers. He has since been invited to perform at the National Storytelling Festival and served as a keynote speaker at the National Storytelling Networks Annual Conference.
