(COLUMBIA, SC) The Lake Murray Symphony Orchestra will present a special "Columbia College Day" performance on Sunday, October 3, 3:30 p.m., in the auditorium of Airport High School, 1315 Boston Avenue in West Columbia.
Guest artist on piano will be Dr. Alan Weinberg, Columbia College professor of music, performing George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue." The orchestra will also perform "College Medley," arranged by Dick Goodwin, and "Reformation" Symphony Op. 107 by Felix Mendelssohn. The newly-formed Lake Murray Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Dr. Einar Anderson, former conductor of the S.C. Philharmonic.
