(COLUMBIA, SC) The Columbia College Department of Art is presenting an exhibit of photography by Sidney J. Palmer in the Goodall Gallery of the Spears Music/Art Center through July 15.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
The collection of over 70 photographs includes symphonic portraits; conductors, dancers and other performance artists; selected models; and a group of personal favorites.
Palmer is best known for his work as an international, award-winning television producer and director, symphony and opera conductor, pianist, and composer. Retired from S.C. ETV, he has served as artist-in-residence at Columbia College for more than 30 years.
