(COLUMBIA, SC) The Leadership Institute at Columbia College, in partnership with the South Carolina Women's Business Center, will sponsor a workshop entitled "Capitalizing on Being a Woman Owned Business" on Tuesday, April 5, 9 a.m.-12 noon, and again on Thursday, April 28, 9 a.m.-12 noon, in Room 201-202 of the Breed Leadership Center.

The workshop -- conducted by Janet Christy, president of Leverage & Development, LLC -- will include information on identifying and qualifying prospects that benefit from using woman owned businesses; marketing and sales strategies; doing business with government agencies and commercial enterprises; certifications and registrations; and more. 

Leverage & Development, LLC, headquartered in Greer, S.C., specializes in the development of marketing plans for woman owned and minority owned businesses. Christy has conducted workshops for chambers of commerce and other organizations throughout North and South Carolina.
