(COLUMBIA, SC) A total of 43 rising sophomore high school girls from across South Carolina, from Michigan, from Georgia, and from Cali, Colombia, South America, will participate in a week-long residential leadership program at Columbia College during the week of June 19-25. Entitled "LEAD 2005," the program is designed for girls who have demonstrated leadership potential and who want to enhance their leadership skills.

The week will emphasize the building of skills such as risk-taking, multi-level thinking, communication, advocacy, balance, and accountability.

The nine girls from Colombia, South America, are students at The Bennett School.
