Wind Ensemble Spring Concert

    

The Columbia College Wind Ensemble will perform their annual Spring Concert on Thursday, April 12, 2007. The performance will feature Jennifer Pratt, 2006 Concerto-Aria Competition Winner, senior vocal performance major, performing "Ain't It a Pretty Night" from Susannah, by Carlisle Floyd in a new arrangement by Artist-in-Residence, Sidney Palmer. Also featured on this program are Knightsbridge Chronicles by Barry Kopetz, Fantasy on an American Classic "Shenandoah" by James Swearingen, Courtley Airs and Dances by Ron Nelson, Cruzan Dances by Robert Longfield, with guest pianist, Amanda Young, freshman music major, and Flight of the Pegasus by David Shaffer. Dr. Alan Weinberg, professor of music, will premiere a new arrangement of Mozart's Concerto No. 15 in B-flat Major, arranged and transcribed by Dr. Randolph D. Love, CCWE Conductor and professor of music

The Columbia College Department of Music graciously thanks Rice Music House for the use of the grand piano played for this concert. .
