Lyndsay Pickens, head athletic trainer for Columbia College, was awarded Athletic Training Staff of the year from the South Carolina Athletic Trainers’ Association.  The South Carolina Athletic Trainers’ Association (SCATA) is a professional organization comprised of approximately 400 members aimed at the advancement of athletic training in South Carolina.
 
Pickens has been the head athletic trainer at Columbia College since 2004.  Pickens received her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science/Athletic Training from Truman State University in 2001, and Masters of Science in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2003.  She also serves as the Fitness Center coordinator at Columbia College and served as the Women’s Volleyball Coach in 2003.
