Senator Clinton Visits Columbia College
Senator Hillary Clinton visited Columbia College during her most recent campaign stop in South Carolina on Sunday, January 13.
A town-hall style meeting was held in the Godbold gymnasium, which filled to capacity with supporters and undecided voters who
were eager to hear the candidate’s position on topics ranging from education to immigration policy. Other notables who spoke
briefly included Ohio congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs-Jones, BET founder and Charlotte Bobcats owner Robert Johnson, and
former governor and U. S. Secretary of Education Richard Riley. Clinton was cheered as she noted that she felt very at home at
Columbia College, being a graduate of a women’s college and also a lifelong Methodist. Her visit was covered extensively by
local and national media
