A deceptively innocent housewife somehow fails to notice the disappearance of her husband; a woman has a strange encounter with her boyfriend’s deceased wife; a job applicant wants to be the new tooth fairy; and a young mother accused of child abuse tries to regain custody of her son.
These real- and not-so-real-life situations will be brought to the stage in Shorts 2010, a program of four short plays to be presented at Columbia College on February 24, 25, 26, and 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Griffin Arena Theatre.
Directed by guest artist Indira Cureton-Cummings, the plays will feature Columbia College students Michelle Burgess, a junior from Andrews, SC; Rachel Davis, a first-year student from Fort Mill, SC; Megan Miller, a first-year student from Kissimmee, FL; Lauren Norton, a senior from Charleston, SC; Laura Sessions, a first-year student from Fort Mill, SC; Marisol Slater, a senior from Aiken, SC; Amber Stroud, a first-year student from Rock Hill, SC; and Morgan Smalls, a senior from Moncks Corner, SC. Samantha Wiley, a first-year student from Summerville, SC, is stage manager. Patrick Faulds is technical director for Columbia College productions.
