Columbia College Activities Board (CCAB)

Columbia College Activities Board (CCAB) is an exciting way to get involved in the campus community! Plan events, blow up balloons, share your creative ideas! We meet every Monday night at 7:00pm in the basement of the Student Union. So bring your friends, your enthusiasm, and come have some fun with us!

CCAB plans 6 major traditional Columbia College events. They are:

The Welcome Back Party & Activities Fair is a chance for campus organizations, clubs and departments to set up booths and advertise or promote their groups. Typically the party includes a DJ, refreshments, and a balloon twister or temporary tattoo artist.

Ludy Bowl is a flag football game in which players from the freshmen and senior classes form one team, and players from the sophomore and junior classes form the opposing team. The game is preceded by a week of fun activities, as well as a parade to the field. Each year a theme is chosen, and team names are chosen to match the theme.

Mom's Day is an opportunity for Columbia College students to spend one day on campus with their mothers or mother-like figures. The event typically includes an address by a keynote speaker and a continental breakfast in the Student Union.

Dad's Night is a way for CC students to spend a nice evening with their fathers or father-like figures. Refreshments are served, and a DJ provides music entertainment for the fathers and daughters to dance to.

Spring Formal is an opportunity for CC students to dress up in semi-formal or formal attire and enjoy a night at a venue off campus. Students may invite guests to attend.

Fun Day is held the Thursday before final exams. It gives students a chance to have fun with their friends and release stress before finals. The event is held in the Student Union or on the Green and includes a DJ and games.
