Religious Organizations

Columbia College encourages students to foster spiritual values as part of a well-rounded liberal arts education. In religious organizations students often find friends who can accompany one another through the opportunities and challenges of college life.

In a religious organization, a student may find a "home away from home," where she finds support in negotiating challenges to her faith, new insights into religion and spirituality, and opportunities for spiritual growth.

Baptist Collegiate Ministry
The Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) at Columbia College is committed to connecting all college students to Christ and each other regardless of denominational preference. The main objective of BCM is to provide a ministry to individuals in the campus community who have a desire for Christian growth. Click here for more...

Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU)
The purpose of CRU is to help students grow spiritually in their lives by teaching them the basics of the Christian life.

Clubhouse Gang of Eau Claire
The Clubhouse Gang of Eau Claire is a student-led after-school program that serves first through sixth graders in the surrounding Eau Claire community. The program meets next to campus in College Place United Methodist Church two to three times each week, with special programing offered of designated Satrudays. While Clubhouse Gang is religious in nature, it also contains an academic/tutorial component. Clubhouse Gang originated in 1998 and continues to grow and expand as it strives towards its mission to connect Columbia College, the Eau Claire community, and College Place United Methodist Church.

Columbia College Catholics
St. Julian's Columbia College Catholics is committed to creating a fellowship among Roman Catholics and other students interested in learning more about Catholicism. Through this fellowship, Columbia College Catholics offers students opportunities to converse with fellow Catholic students, strengthen their faith, serve God and enjoy special speakers on topics of interest.

Columbia College Muslim Students Association
The Columbia College Muslim Students Association is a religious, social, and cultural organization at Columbia College that strives to build a sense of unity and community among Muslims and non-Muslims through discussions and fun activities.  The association also strives to raise awareness about Islam and Muslims on campus.

Heavenly Creations Gospel Choir
Heavenly Creations Gospel Choir (HCGC) is a group of young women committed to praising the Lord's name through song and worship. HCGC's purpose is to stimulate Christian fellowship, to provide and promote spiritual growth, and to contribute to the Christian environment of the Columbia College campus and community.

Thursdays at 6:45 p.m. in the chior rooom of the Spears Music and Arts buildinng

Interfaith Council
For non-Christian students, the Interfaith Council strives to insure that the beliefs and practices of students of all faiths are respected. Comprised of staff, faculty, and student represenatitives of the different religious faiths on campus, the Interfaith Counicl promotes respect of different religious faiths by sponsoring dialogues and activities which foster understanding of difference and similarity. Members of the Council join and serve at the discretion of the Chaplain.

Kingdom Glory College Ministries
The purpose of Kingdom Glory College Ministries is to unify the body of Christ through praise and worship, liturgical dance and biblical life enrichment studies.
 

Presbyterian Student Association
The purpose of the Presbyterian Student Association (PSA) is to witness the "good news" of God's love in Jesus Christ to the higher education community of Columbia College by inviting, equipping and challenging students, faculty and staff to respond to the call of the Holy Spirit and to grow in faith and discipleship.
Meeting Dates and Times:
Every Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the dining hall to share in table fellowship and casual Bible study

Student Christian Association
All interested students join together to form the Student Christian Association (SCA). Working together through SCA, students strive to make Christianity more real and vital in the lives of the students, faculty, and staff of Columbia College.
Meeting Dates and Times:
Every Monday at 1PM in the lower level of the Student Union, room B106

Wesley Fellowship
Wesley Fellowship is a group of Christian students who meet at least once a week to deepen their faith and worship God, live out their beliefs, develop friendships with other Columbia College students, and have fun in the process. Grounded in the Methodist tradition, Wesley Fellowship is open to students of any denomination.
