Room Assignments

Because of the growing number of students admitted to the College who are in need of on-campus housing, an additional student may be assigned to a residence hall room, or certain common rooms within the residence halls may be designated as living areas.

In order to adjust to the stresses caused by overcrowding, it may be necessary to make adjustments in residential policies and regulations during this period. No changes are to be made in room assignments or in roommates during the first two weeks of a semester. Changes will be made after a conference with the residence coordinator and when authorization is given after a room change request has been completed. Roommate changes will be made if there is mutual agreement between all parties involved. The College reserves the right to assign a student to another room after consultation with the student.

The Office of Residence Life will maintain a current waiting list of students desiring room changes or private rooms. This list will not be employed until all eligible resident students from the previous year and selected new students have been placed.
