Named in honor of Mr. T. J. Harrelson, for his generosity and outstanding service to Columbia College before and after the 1964 fire. Built in 1953, with major additions in 1962, the building once served as the principle student life center on campus, once including a canteen. The large sunny patio space behind the bookstore is a popular hangout for students taking a break between classes.
